A hand dug well built by Ji Duma with locals in Nyamina. Many Malian
villages do not have wells and are therefore, obligated to gather water from the Niger River, an
extremely contaminated source. Women often have to walk several kilometers in order to find
water. Wells in villages provide a clean and accessible source of water.
